Mother’s Day Diaper Drive
Every Mother’s Day, we provide a month’s worth of diapers to 100 low-income women delivering babies at Women’s and Children’s Hospital at LA County/USC Medical Center through Project Angel and Angel Interfaith Network. Without the Mother’s Day Diaper Drive, these new moms would have had to pay an estimated $100 each for the first month’s diaper supply. That can mean the difference between buying diapers and buying food.
Parenting Classes
We provide diapers year round to low-income moms who attend
a series of classes on nutrition, discipline, school readiness,
and other important parenting skills and a support-group component
through Brownsen House in Boyle Heights and Friends of the
Family's Young Moms/Young Dads program in Van Nuys. Young
Moms/Young Dads is a comprehensive parent education and personal
development program for parents ages 13-21 that teaches job
training and family planning, as well as providing support
so that the parents can complete high school and attend college.
One Time Donations
We provide diapers to homeless mothers through organizations
such as the Los Angeles Homeless Shelter Authority and Project
Safe.
